Are you ready to apply your scientific acumen to provide essential license to operate and related services for the OBU Medical Communications and Information (MCi) team? Join our team and support our external facing interactions with HCPs, including self-service chatbot conversations. A focused LTO team will ensure expertise, excellence and scalability as AstraZeneca’s pipeline continues to expand.
 

Accountabilities:

  • Apply scientific knowledge and insights about therapeutic areas, healthcare systems, products, disease management, emerging therapies, and the competitive landscape. Coordinate this with regulatory environment knowledge to compose compelling medical content and communications.
  • Duties involve handling Medical Information requests (point-and-click, custom, advanced local market inquiries and call backs), creating and maintaining the SR database, and developing and maintaining chatbot conversations
  • Team members will be aligned to a primary Therapy Area/product and will flex across multiple tumor types to meet business needs and priorities with agility and flexibility
  • Collaborate with MCi staff and key collaborators to provide LTO services with excellence and develop and disseminate scientific content to meet customer LTO needs
  • Support HCPs through delivery of high-quality, timely, customer-focused medical information
  • Contribute to MCi processes to drive operational excellence, efficiency, and digital innovation

Scientific Content/Brand Partnership

  • Lead/Support the development, review and maintenance of scientific communication materials (e.g., MIRs, Standard responses and chatbot conversations) in collaboration with the MCi team and Medical Affairs

HCP Engagement

  • Create scientifically balanced responses to medical information inquiries from Health Care Providers to support the appropriate use of AstraZeneca products. Address point and click, custom and escalated inquiries from local markets, including call backs
  • Identify, analyze and report trends and medical and scientific insights to stakeholders to inform business strategy and scientific content and communication needs


Minimum Requirements:

  • Advanced scientific degree (PharmD preferred, MD, PhD, or equivalent)
  • Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in drug or medical information within the pharmaceutical industry or a comparable role in healthcare, clinical, hospital, or medical communications settings.


Desirable Requirements

  • Clinical and healthcare systems expertise
  • Scientific literature evaluation and analysis
  • Scientific/medical writing, communication, and content creation (e.g. MIRs, SRs, chatbot conversations)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong Project, Time management and organizational skills including resilience and working with Ambiguity or Complexity
  • Aptitude in utilizing technology/platforms
  • Experience developing digital content and/or digital content strategy highly desired
  • Promotional review and/or medical review experience
  • Ability to apply local regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements to Medical Affairs activities and drug information delivery
