Media Planner, Programmatic

Remote - United States Full Time

We’re looking for a Programmatic Associate to help manage day-to-day planning, execution, oversight, and reporting of our programmatic and other paid media efforts. You will work closely with both internal teams and agency partners to scale paid media investment and expand into new channels, such as YouTube, Connected TV, etc. You’re someone with hands-on programmatic buying experience who understands how media operates in-platform, but is excited to grow into strategy and leadership. You’ll be expected to provide thoughtful feedback on media plans, analyze performance, and help scale investment effectively. You’ll report to our Programmatic Manager.

What you'll do

  • Programmatic and video execution
    • Manage day-to-day oversight of programmatic display and video efforts
    • Partner closely with media agency to ensure campaigns are delivering and performing to expectations
    • Support in-house buying for select channels, such as YouTube, including setup, QA, and ongoing optimization
  • Media agency management & QA
    • Review media plan recommendations and reporting with a critical eye
    • Ensure buys are executed accurately and aligned with internal goals
    • Act as a strong day-to-day counterpart for agency partners, ensuring they are well-briefed and in tune with business priorities
    • Pressure test assumptions around audiences, budgets, reach/frequency, and measurement approaches
  • Measurement, reporting, and insights
    • Analyze performance and pacing across channels, formats, audiences, and creative
    • Maintain monthly and ad hoc programmatic reporting
    • Translate media reporting into clear insights and takeaways for cross-functional channels
    • Support test and learn frameworks and channel expansion planning
    • Maintain budget trackers and support media invoicing
  • Cross-functional collaboration
    • Work closely with creative teams to ensure all display and video assets are briefed clearly, delivered on time, and meet specs

What you have

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in media planning and/or buying (agency or in-house)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one DSP (e.g. DV360, Google Ads, The Trade Desk. etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, audience strategy, and both brand and performance KPIs
  • Familiarity with ad operations, such as pixeling, trafficking, creative specs, etc.
  • Experience analyzing media reporting and providing thoughtful, actionable feedback on media plans; must be comfortable in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working with a range of stakeholders, including agency partners and internal teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously

The salary range for this role is $63,000 - $92,000 USD. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
