Job Overview

The Eligibility Specialist - Medi-Cal and Medicare will assist enrolled PACE participants to maintain active benefit status, including Medi-Cal and Medicare, and other public assistance programs. Supports with eligibility, renewal applications, and retro-coverage issues. Will maintain tracking and monitoring systems for redeterminations and holds, to ensure resolution of all benefit issues in a timely manner and to prevent service interruptions. Works closely with participants and families, as well as with government agencies, to troubleshoot and facilitate access to coverage and reduce uncompensated care. Collaborates with PACE site IDT in monitoring and problem-solving benefit-related issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • A BS/BA degree in healthcare or business administration, social work, psychology, or a related field of study is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Medi-Cal and Medicare benefit systems.

  • A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Compensation

$27.68 - $34.60 hourly
