We are looking for a Junior Mechano-Optical Engineer! We are seeking optical engineers who are passionate about what they do and are committed to making a difference in the world through their inventions. This position will collaborate with optical, opto-mechanical, and process engineers in the design and development of components that will drive NVIDIA products into a new technology era. Your responsibilities will include designing, testing and validating optical components and assembly platforms, selecting technology, and benchmarking solutions, all while keeping schedule and budget targets.
What you'll be doing:
Working on optical components for CPO applications
Design and design validation of optical test platforms and optical characterization stations.
Testing and characterization of optical components and optical connectors
Design and design validation of optical elements (lenses, optical connectors, fiber array units etc.)
What we need to see:
BSC or MSC in Physics or Electrical Engineering (With relevant optical knowledge)
2+ years of hands-on experience with testing and characterizing Optical or Electro-optical components
Proven work experience in optical lab environment
Results analysis, and reporting metrologies methods.
Experience with co-working with mechanical and optical engineers
Curious and creative problem solver as well as organized and multi-tasker.
Strong social skills (verbal and written).
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Background with Optical designs and experience with Optical design SW (Zemax, Code V etc)
Background with CPO connectors
Experience with Matlab or Python
