Lead the mechanical engineering team through the full product development lifecycle, managing all phases from initial concept & detail design through verification, validation & successful transition to mass production.
Partner with the Program Manager to define mechanical project scope, plan resources, establish realistic schedules, implement risk mitigation strategies & monitor critical milestones to ensure successful completion.
Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to achieve critical project goals in schedule, cost, safety, quality, reliability & robustness performance.
Engage with the Front End Architecture team to conduct high level conceptual feasibility study & technical maturation.
Spearhead rigorous design reviews to proactively mitigate & address technical risks prior to tool release approval.
Drive departmental initiatives for engineering excellence, continuous improvement & innovation by establishing & institutionalizing key design best practices, DFMEA, DFM & DFA.
Cultivate a high performing team by managing performance reviews, providing mentorship & driving strategic career growth & competency development.

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. A Master degree (MSME or MBA) is a strong plus.
10 years of experience in mechanical product design & development, with min 2-3 years in management role.
Proven track record of leading a team to deliver complex products from concept to mass production.
Strong leadership, decisive, strategic thinking & communication skills.
Proficient in mechanical design principles & material science, familiar with manufacturing processes such as plastic injection molding, machining, sheet metal, die casting, ultrasonic, resistance, laser welding & SMT).
Competent in mechanical engineering software/tools such as Creo 3D modelling, Tolerance Analysis, GD&T, FEA, Statistical Analysis & 8D Problem Solving.
