Responsibilities / Tasks

GEA Group, located in York, PA, is searching for our next Mechanical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026! We are looking for local students who are interested in working full-time hours this upcoming summer supporting our various Engineering teams!

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine engineering work assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures. 
  • Works under close supervision. Work with the Engineering Department to improve engineering processes.
  • Work with the Engineering Managers to update engineering calculation programs.
  • Participate and support daily engineering activities.
  • Provide engineering support for other departments, such as Sales, Service, Manufacturing and Warranty.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate

  • Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program at an accredited university.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or SolidWorks is beneficial but not required.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $91,739.00 - $122,318.00 per year.  GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.  You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
