As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations performed in a shift or group of production lines, ensuring they reach volume, quality and cost goals.
This role reports to Manager Maintenance and oversees a team of mechanical staff and fitters.
What you will do:
- Mechanical Operation & Maintenance – Oversee operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment including pumps, gears, conveyors, sifters, dryers, elevators, mills, centrifuges, ID/FD fans, and compressors. Manage system design support and apply alignment, balancing, and condition‑monitoring techniques in line with IMS/GMP standards. Execute PM/CM schedules through SAP, implement smart maintenance tools, and ensure timely upkeep of all mechanical systems and auxiliaries. Manage critical store items, PR generation, QEM evaluation, delivery follow‑ups, and maintain updated critical parts lists while ensuring standby equipment remains ready for use.
- Project Execution Activities – Share new quality ideas, prepare feasibility reports, BOQs, follow up for procurement of material and ensure safe execution of capex / MOC projects in stipulated time, along with contract management.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives – Identify all cost reduction opportunities to ensure efficient operation. Recommend new equipment, methods and procedures that could considerably reduce labor expenses.
- Compliance to company policies & EHS guidelines – Implement EHS standards and carry out risk assessments to ensure safe working environment for subordinates. Ensure compliance of electrical-related legal requirements of the company
- Stakeholder Management – Develop a work environment with Engineering & Services department staff that encourages motivation and commitment and follow TNA for people development. Build relationship with relevant stakeholders, through a team-based approach, to ensure business needs are met.
What you will bring:
- Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years’ work experience
- Strong work background of operation & maintenance of electrical installations, preferably in food / fertilizer / Petro-chemical industry.
