GEA

Mechanical Engineer

Skanderborg Full time
Are you ready to turn detailed mechanical design into reliable, real-world installations? And would you like to execute mechanical projects from proposal to handover – thereby ensuring high-quality solutions for customers with strict technical requirements?

Then join us and work with advanced 3D design tools, gaining hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle while collaborating with project managers, engineers and suppliers across borders.

Responsibilities / Tasks

At our office in Skanderborg, you will join the Project Execution function within GEA Liquid Technologies. The team works closely across disciplines, bringing together mechanical engineering, process knowledge, project management and procurement to ensure that each project is executed with high technical quality and strong coordination.

The team values structured work, open communication and shared responsibility, creating an environment where knowledge is exchanged and projects move forward through cooperation.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will work hands-on with mechanical design while also taking responsibility for technical coordination, reviews and follow-up across the project lifecycle.

Your role spans from detailed design work in pre-project stage to supplier interaction, workshop activities and support during installation at customer sites, ensuring that solutions meet technical, quality and hygienic requirements.

Some of your tasks will be to:

  • Perform mechanical design tasks in Autodesk Plant 3D doing P&ID’s and corresponding plant piping models
  • Review and validate 3D models prepared by other design technicians
  • Contribute to planning in collaboration with our project managers, while your technical expertise supports sound decision-making throughout the project
  • Oversee procurement activities in collaboration with domestic and international suppliers in Europe.
  • Specify pre-assembly installations at selected workshops.
  • Support supervision of installation work at customer sites, and carry out risk analyses and documentation to support smooth and compliant execution

As you will be collaborating closely with our customers and suppliers, you can expect some travel in the Nordic region for customer meetings, supplier visits and customer site activities.

Your Profile / Qualifications

Curiosity, collaboration and structure are part of your DNA – and you use them to navigate complex mechanical tasks with confidence and attention to detail. With a pragmatic and analytical mindset, you take responsibility for your work and contribute constructively in a global, project-driven environment.

Furthermore, we imagine that you:

  • Hold a technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or have equivalent education or experience
  • Bring relevant experience from food or dairy processing industries, or similar process-oriented industries
  • Have proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D or similar CAD tools and a solid understanding of mechanical and piping design
  • Are experienced in working with hygienic process systems or comparable technical solutions
  • Communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken, and thrive in collaborative, international teams

Finally, you preferably live near our site in Skanderborg, as this will be your regular work location.
