The Role:
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Design/Project Engineer with relevant Project Management experience to join the Grange Castle (GC) Projects Team. This is an exciting time to join the GC Team due to continued investment in the facility and new product introductions.
The ideal candidate would be someone from a design background with experience managing mechanical, utilities & HVAC projects.
Some Role Responsibilities
Provide Mechanical Design expertise to the GC Projects Team.
Provide the Pfizer HVAC and Mechanical design input
Interface with the equipment vendors from a mechanical perspective
Manage HVAC commissioning, up to and incl. room certification
Liaise with Site HVAC SME
Review vendor documents
Review and approve all piping specs
Provide mechanical discipline support to construction & commissioning
Support the Pfizer team input into the model review process
Provide the piping and HVAC layout input to the model
Generate Mechanical Scope of Works (SOW) for the GC Projects Team.
Feed into funding requests for Capital Purchase Acquisitions (CPA).
Manage Requests For Information (RFI) pertaining to Mechanical projects.
Generate Mechanical/HVAC User Required Specifications (URS) for Utilities & Process Equipment.
Lead 30%, 60% 90% Design Review & Issue For Construction (IFC) Meetings.
Attend regular project meetings
Provide Field Design Verification during the project cycle.
Attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Ensure best document management practices are applied to all project documentation.
Generate Project Handover Packs to include all design and safety documentation.
Provide Mechanical support to the Commissioning, Qualification, Validation (QCV) Team.
Ensuring project compliance with the relevant Codes
Review & Manage MSRA, Work Permits, LOTO, BIPP requests related to Mechanical Projects
Qualifications
Must-Have
Degree or Master Level Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
Minimumof 3-5 years of relevant Mechanical Design work experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant Project Management work experience
Expertise in the design of piping and HVAC, waste systems, refrigeration’s, water systems.
Proficient using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio)
Relevant project or design work experience in a GMP or regulated environment is a distinct advantage
Strong Team Player with ability to develop relationships and work closely with a number of cross functional disciplines, both within and outside of the function and Organization.
Excellent Communication and Presentation Skills with the ability to formulate thoughts in a clear and concise manner to provide clarity and path forward on any issues.
Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities in a fast paced environment
Strong Customer & Safety Focus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Design package, Navisworks, Pipeflow (Hydraulic calculations) or similar.

Project Management Qualification (PMI, PRINCE)
PSDP & PSCS Qualifications
