Mechanical Design Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team developing cutting edge test products for the latest fixed and wireless communication systems. You will be working on the mechanical development of components and sub-systems from concept through to release for manufacture, including supporting products in manufacture. Main components typically include sheet metal housings, CNC machined shielding, custom cables, labels, PCB assemblies and fittings.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a contributor and where necessary the sole Mechanical Engineer, as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

• Takes responsibility for the mechanical development of components, subsystems and systems ensuring designs are robust, fully documented, prototyped, tested and successfully introduced into production within the specified time scales.

• Ensure all designs are supported by theoretical calculations, thermal and stress analysis results, reviews and prototypes where appropriate.
