Key Performance Areas
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will investigate, plan, develop and design mechanical improvement initiatives for our manufacturing equipment. This includes technical estimating, process development, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting installation/commissioning activities. Manufacturing design improvements would be used to achieve enhanced safety, increased productivity, and reduced processing costs.

Machinery upgrades and reverse‑engineer components as needed
Project execution
Manage end-to-end installation projects
Civil and PEB coordination
Technical drawings and specifications
Machine installation and alignment
Create and review detailed BOM documents as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Support improvements for quality and yield
Implement design changes for performance optimization
Support continuous‑improvement and commissioning activities
Provide day‑to‑day engineering and troubleshooting support
Lead or support trials for process improvement
Create procedures, documentation, and technical instructions
Prepare fabrication/installation drawings and specifications
Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers
Work with vendors and suppliers for component development, cost estimation, and quality assurance.
Your Profile
A minimum of 10 years of mechanical design experience in manufacturing, and an engineering degree from an accredited engineering program is a requirement.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment installation, alignment, troubleshooting, and design‑for‑manufacture principles.
Experience with mechanical concepts, detailed drawings, assemblies, BOM creation, and equipment installation/validation processes is required.
Design and engineering experience in the stainless steel seamless pipe and tubing industry is highly desirable, particularly with equipment such as pilger mills, annealers, bull blocks, extrusion systems, and general material-handling machinery.
Ability to generate 2D drawings (AutoCAD) and 3D models (Inventor/SolidWorks/AutoCAD) and work with Autodesk Vault.
Project management experience of mid-to-large size projects.
Highly organized, analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to work across teams.
You are calm, confident and able to face high workloads and challenges when presented.
Fluency in English, bilingual is a plus.
