Starting Pay: $21.45/hr
Position Summary:
The Maintenance/Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets while ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson Foods' policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and disassemble equipment.
Operate and maintain mobile equipment.
Perform welding, oxygen cutting, plasma cutting, torch cutting, and electrical circuit repair.
Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), environmental procedures and follow all safety guidelines of the facility.
Conduct preventive maintenance on all rolling equipment.
Perform physical tasks such as climbing, standing, bending, sitting, and carrying/pushing/pulling up to 70 lbs. multiple times monthly.
Work in varying conditions, including hot and cold environments.
Work overtime and weekends as required.
Follow instructions and communicate effectively.
Work at heights as needed.
The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
External Requirements:
Minimum of one year of work experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
One year of industrial mechanic experience.
Preferred experience in agriculture milling maintenance.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Ability to work at heights.
Ability to obtain and maintain a PIT Certification.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Tyson Foods.
