The Role & the Team

To support Roquette’s growth ambitions in the Health & Pharma Business Group, we are looking for our next MEA Account Manager (M/F).
Ideally based in Istanbul, the role covers the MEA region (Türkiye, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Israel, Egypt, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Kenya, South Africa + Europe).

You will report directly to regional commercial leadership and collaborate closely with a wide range of global and regional stakeholders.

With a strong presence in MEA, the teams work closely with distributors, key accounts, technical experts, and global functions to ensure seamless customer interactions and sustained business growth.

In This Context, Your Mission

As MEA Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing Roquette’s commercial footprint, managing key customer and distributor relationships, and delivering revenue and margin growth across the MEA region.

You will play a pivotal role in driving business development, introducing new product innovations, strengthening customer loyalty, and supporting the adoption of Roquette’s pharmaceutical excipients.

Your Experience and Talents Will Make the Difference to:

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers.
  • Understand customer needs and ensure Roquette’s solutions meet those expectations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, ensuring high satisfaction at every interaction.

Distribution Relationship Management

  • Regularly review distributor performance, opportunity pipelines, and service levels.
  • Identify gaps, corrective actions, and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure alignment with Roquette’s strategic priorities and market ambitions.
  • Conduct joint customer visits and support key opportunities.

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new opportunities and grow existing accounts across MEA.
  • Develop sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin objectives.
  • Present and promote new Roquette products to customers.
  • Organize country seminars and attend scientific & commercial events.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline with clear reporting.

Leading Revenue Growth

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and gross margin objectives.
  • Optimize pricing positioning in collaboration with the Pricing Team.
  • Negotiate and close commercial agreements.
  • Ensure a strong market presence and long‑term partnerships with key customers.

Technical Support

  • Provide technical expertise to customers in collaboration with Technical Developers.
  • Support formulation discussions and highlight the value of Roquette’s solutions.

Market Intelligence

  • Collect and analyze market data, industry trends, and customer insights.
  • Communicate findings to internal stakeholders to support strategy, product development, and marketing.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with Marketing, Technical Developers, Customer Care, Product Line Managers, Inside Sales and other teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Support pricing strategy development and execution.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and market insights.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities and performance.

And Also…

Education

  • University degree (Pharmacy, Chemistry, Life Sciences) – Master/PhD preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years in Sales or Business Development within Pharma, Life Sciences, or Chemical Ingredients.
  • Experience in pharma R&D or Regulatory is a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record of sales growth and value delivery.
  • Established network in the pharma industry.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and multinational environments.

Specific Requirements

  • Fluent in English; Turkish or another European language is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel extensively (>50%) across MEA and Europe.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office; experience with Salesforce or Qlik is a plus.
