Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Materials Management and Transportation Manager to join our CTSC – Cutting Tool Service Center team in Auburn, WA.

The successful candidate is self-motivated driven person who can manage and integrate employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation. Specifically in the delivery customer service role. You should be able to develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures and set operational goals. Acquiring resources for projects and processes provides technical management of team members and lead process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

Our team is currently hiring a Level K Materials Management and Transportation Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employees’ activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develop and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
  • Possesses a mindset of safety and quality; influences the team to exhibit Boeing Values and Behaviors

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes
  • 5+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams
  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
  • 5+ years of experience managing or leading people or teams, preferably leading both salary and hourly personnel
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree5+ years of experience demonstrating exceptional business, analytical, and problem-solving skills3+ years leading critical projects
  • Experience with safety and quality processes
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
  • Experience expediting products through a production system to meet emergent customer demand
