Job Description

You will work in a laboratory environment, you will analyze materials, and evaluate processing techniques used in industrial automation products. You'll operate instruments, perform failure analysis, and collaborate with engineers and chemists to provide solutions that improve product quality. You will have experience acquiring or interpreting laboratory data to improve manufacturing processes. You will report to the Manager, Chemistry and Materials and have a hybrid schedule working in Milwaukee, WI.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform material and failure analyses on mechanical, electrical and electronic components.
  • Operate and interpret data from instruments such as SEM, EDS, XRF, XRD, and real-time X-ray systems.
  • Conduct root-cause failure analysis and provide clear, relevant reports.
  • Conduct material evaluations to verify compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Collaborate with our teams to resolve material-related or material processing issues.
  • Conduct accelerated environmental testing to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards, safety regulations, and hazardous waste handling procedures.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience.
  • Hands-on experience with or understanding the use of data from analytical instruments and failure analysis techniques.
  • Experienced applying lab data and analysis to troubleshoot manufacturing processes is helpful.
