As a Material Coordinator at Terex based in Omagh, you'll play a pivotal role in producing equipment that helps improve the lives of people around the world.


What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Production Supervisor the Material Coordinator will oversee and coordinate the incoming deliveries to the Cookstown road Fabrication site & outgoing deliveries from Fabrication to Paint. Coordinate the sites delivery vehicles and liaise other production areas and external suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of material.

  • Controlling and managing the day-to-day delivery schedules to achieve takt, build to schedule and on time delivery targets.
  • Updating Fabrication schedules
  • Represent Fabrication in production meetings
  • Coordinate all incoming delivery vehicles organizing the unloading/ loading of components
  • Control incoming/outgoing delivery receipts
  • Control the storage of steel components in the yard (general tidiness of the drop/storage locations)
  • Control the incoming inventory to the main production site assisting in audits and cycle counts
  • Schedule incoming components from external suppliers to meet production demands
  • Organize the transportation of steel components to and from the main site to offsite production areas
  • Complete van delivery and collection of parts/components as and when required
  • Hold yard meetings and ensure site rules and guidelines are adhered to
  • Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement
  • To maintain compliance to all Health and Safety Regulations
  • Feed material to fabrication sheds as and when needed
  • Maintain & upkeep high standard of yard 5S

About you

  • Experience with controlling inventory deliveries within a fast-moving production environment
  • Experience with planning, organizing, directing and controlling the activities and resources necessary to achieve daily targets
  • Have a working understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, JIT and continuous improvement techniques
  • Computer literate in the Microsoft office packages
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings and schematics
  • Forklift truck driving license
  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership, in both strategic and tactical decision making
