Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct and indirect materials, components, and services, aligning with GE Medical Systems Egypt's manufacturing and business objectives.
* Identify, evaluate, and qualify new and existing suppliers, conducting thorough due diligence including financial analysis, quality audits, and capability assessments.
* Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and optimize total cost of ownership.
* Manage supplier relationships, monitoring performance against key metrics such as delivery, quality, and cost, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, production, quality, and R&D teams to understand material requirements, specifications, and new product development needs.
* Monitor market trends, raw material prices, and supply chain risks to proactively identify opportunities and mitigate potential disruptions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant GE Medical Systems policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to sourcing and procurement.
* Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in the supply chain and sourcing processes.
* Prepare and present reports on sourcing activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and market insights to management.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in material sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the medical device, automotive, or aerospace industries.
* Proven track record of successful supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier relationship management.
* Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken) is required.
