Your Role:
As a Material Handler at Alleima, you will be responsible for the overall day to day handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials throughout the plant, ensuring efficient operations and accurate handling.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
—Solid waste drum management
—Compacting to achieve maximum drum capacity
—Liquid waste handling and storage
—Plating tank PH level checks and adjustments/water level
—Assisting the EHS manager in preparing and moving drums to the pickup area
—Weekly chemical inventory for the purchasing group
—Loading and unloading materials from trucks, operating forklifts and other machinery, and ensuring safe handling of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials
About you:
You are a practical problem solver with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with your organizational abilities, make you a valuable team player. You are self —motivated with a results driven approach and possess excellent problem solving skills. You have experience in lean manufacturing and 5S principles, and you are forklift certified with general safety training and hazard communication training. Your ability to create a positive team culture and maintain a safe, clean environment will be crucial in this role. You will be responsible for managing the movement, storage, and handling of hazardous or non —hazardous materials within the production floor, ensuring efficient operations and accurate handling of hazardous waste safely.
