The Materials Management Organization is a cornerstone of the Kaiseraugst Production Site, encompassing production planning, detailed scheduling, materials planning, and master data management. As part of the Kaiseraugst Planning Community, you will report directly to a Planning Community Lead and play a key role in ensuring an efficient and reliable production flow.
As Master Production Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the production plan for a subset of products filled within the assets of the Manufacturing Unit Sterile Filling.
In this role you will collaborate closely with Site and Global functions to address short- and mid-term challenges, mitigate potential backlog or stockout situations, and optimize the utilization of the site’s resources. Your work will be essential in ensuring that production plans are both achievable and aligned with overall business priorities.
Develop and maintain the production schedule for all assigned assets/products, balancing demand priorities with optimal use of equipment, staff, and materials.
Maintain and optimize planning and scheduling parameters in the system to enable efficient volume planning and detailed scheduling.
Monitor production data (volumes, utilization, productivity, materials, quality) and use insights for continuous improvement and accurate planning.
Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve conflicts related to capacity, materials, and operational constraints.
Generate scenarios and recommendations for supply trade-offs to meet demand requirements and support decision-making.
Collaborate with Site and Global teams to address volume changes, optimize resources, and implement innovative solutions.
Participate in project teams and process improvement initiatives, including launches, new equipment introductions, and lead-time optimization.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under time pressure
Proficient in using ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, OMP, or equivalent)
High level of accountability, structure, and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills in both German and English, enabling effective collaboration across local and global teams
