The Master Scheduler is responsible for creating, maintaining and governing the integrated master production schedule within a defined Interiors site. As a critical member of the supply planning process within SIOP, this role ensures alignment across a cross-functional team, including of production, engineering, supply chain, and quality to meet program objectives, delivery commitments and business targets through an aligned upon and achievable master production schedule. The Master Scheduler drives schedule integrity, risk management, and performance reporting while promoting standardization and continuous improvement in scheduling processes. Expectations include execution of Collins Aerospace SIOP vision and standard work while having an opportunity to contribute and build that vision for the enterprise.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the master schedule for the assigned site location; ensuring effective alignment of production, supply and demand plans
  • Mature and increase adoption of advanced planning tools, including Kinaxis Maestro, to improve end-to-end scheduling visibility, scenario modeling, and decision-making capability
  • Drive improvement and make recommendations for planning processes within SAP, focusing on enhanced integration, configuration optimization and best-practice utilization
  • Oversee master data accuracy and integrity for the assigned site, leading initiatives for data clean-up, validation, and standardization to ensure reliable scheduling and planning performance
  • Standardize and optimize the definition of manufacturing environments (e.g., Make-to-Order (MTO), Make-to-stock (MTS), Assemble-to-Order (ATO), Engineer-to-Order (ETO)) to ensure consistent application and efficient operations
  • Implement the global standards for scheduling processes for the assigned site, KPIs, and planning parameters to drive consistency and operational excellence
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to leadership for proactive decision making

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, or other related degree
  • Experience in demand management, operations planning/scheduling, or SIOP related functional area
  • Experience participating in the SIOP process for a large (Fortune 500) global industrial manufacturer
  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP)
  • Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response (now Maestro) supply planning module
  • Experience with SAP, either with the ERP system, APO, and/or Business Intelligence

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidates for this role should possess a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced degree and 3 years of prior relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of collaboration with both internal and external customers
  • Strong organizational skills to efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and delegate
