In this role, you will:

The planning lead is responsible for leading the demand planning, supply planning and mill planning teams for 6 markets (India, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines) for both BTB and BTC businesses to ensure timely delivery of materials and products to meet customer demand.

Key responsibilities are mentioned in below section.

  • Leading the Demand, Supply & Mill / ECM planning team for respective markets.

  • Leading the communications with Country supply chain leaders for smooth planning and escalation management across 7 markets.

  • Integration of planning processes & systems during the transition phase of merging BTB and BTC businesses across markets.

  • Responsible for delivering the key KPIs like FA/FB/Inventory/OTIF/SMOB/CTP for 7 markets.

  • Executing & establishing the right planning processes across markets in collaboration with the Integrated Planning head, Asia and country SC leaders.

  • Lead and mentor team of demand and supply planners, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

  • Key stakeholder in the S&OP process of the clusters (ISEA & RU) and leading it from Demand/Supply/ Mill planning side.

  • Leading the Inventory/OTIF/SMOB discussion within the cluster to deliver the planning KPIs.

  • Lead the inventory/supply/capacity/RCP weekly, monthly & quarterly processes for respective clusters.

  • Lead the demand planning team to get the right demand forecast for supply planning activities.

  • Lead the Mill planning teams to develop and execute production schedules that align with demand & supply forecasts.

  • Ensure that production plans are feasible and efficient, considering capacity constraints and lead times.

  • Perform capacity analysis for respective markets and indulge with Asia Mills/regional or global ECMs for sourcing opportunities.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sources to ensure reliable and timely delivery of materials.

  • Build and maintain collaboration with other planning leaders for exports from the Mills to other markets.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the supply chain.

  • Lead regional/global projects like network sourcing optimization or RCP etc for Asia.

  • Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions, delays, and shortages.

  • Monitor and address potential risks proactively to ensure business continuity.

  • Digitization of Planning activities through planning tool / Power BI dashboard implementation.

  • Defines and oversees the implementation of new systems and processes and implements new supply chain concepts.

Educational Qualification, Work experience & Key Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree / MBA in Supply Chain Management

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience including team management role (minimum of 3 years)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
