Job Description Summary:

Job Objective

Lead the plant production planning process to ensure alignment between demand, production capacity, and inventory strategy in line with the agreed S&OP volume, maximizing customer service.

Collect and summarize plant operational data and key performance indicators to support strategic analysis and continuous improvement of plant operations in line with business objectives.
Act as a delegate for the PLCR Manager when required.
Serve as a power user of the SAP PP module and support related system processes.

Key Result Areas

Master Planning

  • Lead the SPP process to ensure cross-functional alignment between demand, supply, and production capacity.
  • Develop achievable monthly and weekly production plans based on available capacity to balance supply and demand while considering manufacturing efficiency.
  • Identify supply risks, capacity constraints, and material shortages and coordinate mitigation actions.
  • Liaise with Material Operation, QSE, Production, Customer Service and other internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on production planning and operational requirements.
  • Support weekly schedule to ensure short-term manufacturing needs are agreed and monitored on a weekly basis on formal MPS meeting.

Capacity Planning

  • Execute rough-cut capacity planning to evaluate the feasibility of the production master plan.
  • Monitor and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the master production schedule in close collaboration with the production team to continuously enhance the overall planning process. Capacity and productivity factors are regularly reviewed, and systems and processes are updated to reflect current conditions.
  • Evaluate capacity to ensure that potential bottlenecks are identified and necessary action is taken.

Inventory Management

  • Lead the monthly and weekly review meetings for the MRB process to monitor slow-moving and aging inventory and highlight potential risks early. Analyze inventory data to identify potential risks and provide inputs to the S&OP process. Coordinate cross-functional mitigation actions with plant and business stakeholders to minimize write-off risks.
  • Monitor and manage inventory value and WOS to ensure optimal inventory levels of finished goods.
  • Manage the quarterly physical disposal process in accordance with company procedures.

Analysis and Support for process optimization

  • Analyze plant operations data such as sales, production, inventory and other KBI’s monthly to report to manage and communicate with plant associates for improvement of plant operations
  • Provide data-driven insights to support process optimization and operational efficiency improvements.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving planning accuracy, production efficiency, and supply reliability.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvement actions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in development of productivity enhancements for the operations.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain planning or related roles
  • Experience in manufacturing environment preferred (preferably FMCG or food industry)
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Lean & 6 Sigma experience preferred

Education & Professional Qualification:

  • BA degree. Preferably in technical or engineering.
  • Thorough understanding of MPS & MRP
  • Strengths in analysis and planning
  • Basic finance knowledge
  • Leadership and strategic thinking. High integrity and commitment.
