About the role

Marketing Specialist – Media (12-month max term contract)

Bring your media expertise to AGL and help us make smarter, more effective decisions about how we show up for our customers.  As our Marketing Specialist (media), you’ll work closely with key internal stakeholders and our media agency partners to manage AGL’s paid media activity end‑to‑end – from brief, through implementation, to reporting and post‑campaign analysis. You’ll also keep the engine room running smoothly by managing purchase orders, MBAs, accruals and invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.

What you will be doing:

  • Work with marketing and brand teams to understand campaign objectives and guide how paid media can support them.

  • Manage media briefs, plans and bookings with the agency, ensuring timelines, budgets and documentation (including MBAs) are accurate and up to date.

  • Oversee campaign delivery, including production specs, materials, tracking, optimisation and post‑campaign analysis.

  • Manage financial processes such as purchase orders, spend tracking, accruals and goods receipting.

  • Provide clear internal communication and reporting on media plans, campaign performance, budgets and presentations as required.

What we would like to see you bring:

  • Solid experience in media – either in‑house or agency side, ideally with exposure to buying traditional channels such as TV and OOH. An understanding of the Australian paid media landscape

  • Proven ability to develop and implement multi‑channel campaigns across both brand and retail objectives.

  • Strong analytical skills with solid Excel capability and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong time‑management skills, with the ability to juggle deadlines and deliver high‑quality work.
