Market Surveillance and Investigation

Our Market Surveillance and Screening solution department is looking for our next Market Surveillance Associate to join our Market Surveillance & Investigations team, where we are investigating potential cases of market abuse across Saxo’s global client base. Responsibilities

Our Trading Surveillance team consists of six professionals who monitor the trading and order activity of Saxo’s client base, and address any potentially illegal or problematic behavior we detect. As our new Market Surveillance Associate, you will be responsible for:

• Monitoring client trading and order activity to identify unusual or potentially abusive behavior.
• Investigating alerts related to insider trading, market manipulation, wash trades, layering, spoofing, and other prohibited practices.
• Analyzing trading patterns, market conditions, and client behavior to assess the relevance of each alert.
• Preparing clear and high‑quality case documentation with well‑reasoned conclusions.
• Escalating relevant cases in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory expectations
• Stay updated on Market trends, regulatory changes and economic development that impact financial markets

Your profile

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Law, Mathematics or related fields.
• Strong interest and good understanding of financial markets, trading activity, and relevant financial products.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with trading, market surveillance, financial markets, risk management, or related areas.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex trading and transactional data.
• High attention to detail combined with the ability to recognize behavioral patterns and risk indicators.
• Confident in making independent, well‑reasoned decisions and comfortable with handling responsibility
