Job Summary
We are seeking a Market Research Analyst who will be responsible for researching industry trends, conducting market analysis, and identifying growth opportunities for our portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market research methodologies, competitive intelligence, and possess excellent analytical and data visualization skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging industry and technology trends
- Analyse market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and consumer behaviour patterns
- Track and report on market size, growth rates, and potential opportunities in AI-related sectors
- Develop and maintain market intelligence databases to support investment decisions
- Create detailed market segmentation analyses and identify target market opportunities
- Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research projects
- Prepare insightful market research reports with actionable recommendations
- Stay abreast of market developments and provide regular updates to the team
- Develop compelling data visualizations and PowerPoint presentations to communicate research findings to senior executives
Qualifications
- Candidates are required to have 1–3 years of experience in market research. Demonstrated interest in technology, innovation, and emerging markets; experience on AI-related projects is a plus.
- Candidates are required to demonstrate working knowledge of the latest AI-related developments, including generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and key companies/start-ups developing AI offerings.
- Candidates must hold an MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution.
- Experience using market research tools and databases (e.g., PitchBook, Gartner, Forrester, CB Insights).
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; Python and/or SQL are a plus.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
