Market Intelligence Analyst

Job Summary       

As part of the Business Strategy & Analytics department, the Market Intelligence Analyst will play a critical role in helping VSG understand market dynamics, consumer behavior, and brand performance. This position will focus on market intelligence, leveraging syndicated research platforms and industry data to inform strategic decisions across Marketing, Partnerships, and other business units. The analyst will identify trends, assess market opportunities, and provide actionable insights that shape fan engagement strategies, revenue generation, partnership activations, and overall brand health. In addition, this role will support media measurement by analyzing VSG’s content & assets, helping optimize campaigns and maximizing revenue. By combining market research with performance analytics, this position ensures VSG continuously amplifies its brand and capitalizes on consumer engagement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Utilize syndicated market research tools and industry reports to monitor consumer trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions
  • Deliver insights that inform marketing strategies, drive partnership development and retention, and support ad hoc partner recapping
  • Identify emerging markets and fan engagement patterns to proactively influence organizational planning and strategic decision-making
  • Translate complex data sets into compelling narratives and actionable recommendations through advanced visualization techniques (i.e. Tableau, PowerPoint, Canva)
  • Study, measure, and drive fan engagement strategy across VSG digital and social content
  • Track, analyze and benchmark digital and social media KPIs to assess campaign effectiveness
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for content optimization, distribution strategies, and monetization opportunities based on performance trends and ROI analysis
  • Support sales and retention efforts through knowledge sharing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Game/Event Responsibilities

  • Game/Event Night Responsibilities: Coverage as needed
  • Approximate number of events worked per year: 3-5

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of work experience in Research, Strategy, Analytics, Sponsorship, or Marketing
  • Bachelors or advance degree in business, advertising, marketing, or related field
  • Strong experience and knowledge of digital and social analytics
  • Knowledge and experience helping to value and monetize digital and social content
  • Strong experience and knowledge of market research platforms such as YouGov, Vision Insights, Nielsen Scarborough, etc.
  • Comfort, appreciation and skill with data mining, data analysis, data visualization
  • High degree of experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvements of results and find solutions
  • Excellent at summarizing and presenting complex findings to stakeholders
  • Experience with project management to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives
  • Ability to track details and meet deadlines of multiple projects
  • Critical thinker, problem solver, and continuous learner
  • Ability to successfully collaborate and influence others in a flexible and dynamic environment
  • Ability to perform with minimal direction, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in office and arena environment that can be exciting, loud and distracting
  • This is an onsite role; flexibility to work a minority of time remotely.
  • Ability to work extended hours including late nights, holidays, and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift/carry/move up to 10lbs
  • Ability to work in cold/hot indoor and outdoor temperatures
