Who we are looking for

Market Data Analyst role is centralized in market data group within Data Management. Candidate will be responsible for communication with the client service teams, various departments within State Street and external business partners.

The Analyst is mainly responsible for auditing and reviewing assets in line with vendor and client instructions.

What you will be responsible for

As Market Data Analyst you will:

  • Performs routine processing duties, as well as, semi complex or unique market data analytical tasks
  • Take ownership and execution of market data deliverables personally assigned
  • Provide support to other market data team members engaged on project related activities
  • Analysis of client data requirements using available tools i.e. Excel, Power Query
  • Working closely with the vendors like Bloomberg, MSCI, S&P, ICE, Clearstream to source necessary data
  • Participation in BUAT/CUAT testing as required
  • Provide regular detailed updates to Manager on analysis and testing activities
  • Provide adequate documentation and back up for new data sourcing activities
  • Understands the downstream risks associated with providing accurate and timely market data information
  • Contribute in continuous improvement and transformation/simplification process.
  • Participate in any cross department’s initiatives aimed at improving Employee Engagement & Other duties as assigned

  • Experience in a similar role with a financial services organization would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of financial services, security industry and capital would be an asset.
  • Experience with market information sources such as Bloomberg would be an asset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated client service ability
  • PC skills, including proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications such as Excel and Access.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are very important

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Economics/Accountancy/Business related degree (preferred)
  • Experience in a similar role with a financial services organization
