Supports activities for strategic plans and opportunities to open markets for new and existing products. Researches and conducts analysis of the market in terms of coverage and reimbursement, existing and emerging payer policies, formulary listings, competitive landscape, trends, pricing, contracting strategies, potential barriers to provider and patient access. Provides information and support to influence key opinion leaders, pertaining to improved outcomes and public policy matters.
Main responsibilities
Ensure adequate funding for Roche Diagnostics products by developing and implementing effective and sound economic models justifying and promoting product utility as well as managing the strategic and tactical product price list effectively, based on industry trends and developments.
Contributes to overall company success by considering the implications of Roche Diagnostics products may have on the healthcare market and by understanding the impact the changing healthcare market will have on the products.
Supporting the development and implementation of the strategy for market access and reimbursement of products from the company's portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Develops, implements, and regularly reviews the Diagnostics Market Access Plan.
Engages, influences, and persuades senior decision makers in order to improve reimbursement, access and funding for Roche Diagnostics products.
Provides input to management in defining and customizing the access schemes, the funding, pricing and reimbursement strategies for strategically promoted products.
Analyses the impact the changing healthcare market will have on Roche Diagnostics products and communicates findings and recommendations to proper management.
Captures and interprets market intelligence data from the field and shares conclusions with management, in order to adapt strategy to respond to market evolution.
Develops and implements (including publication) locally relevant evidence platforms that provide compelling health economic arguments for appropriate funding in identified therapeutic areas, to support the negotiation with decision makers and influencers.
Provides input regarding the key stakeholders and influencers, their needs and objectives, knowledge of funding flows, relevant legislative updates.
Analyzes the likely scenarios and barriers the company may encounter when trying to bring a diagnostics product to market.
Supports shaping market access environment plans to improve patient access to innovative diagnostics products.
Supports the development and implementation of new access schemes and innovative pricing models.
Coordinate periodic activities for submitting files and obtaining reimbursement for new products in cross-functional teams at the squad level
Provides operational guidance and leadership to the departmental staff in all related interventions, processes and best practices regarding market access.
Maintains understanding of strategic industry dynamics and developments related to funding, health economics and pricing and provides feedback internally regarding these.
Represents Roche in relevant meetings with industry, authorities or other relevant bodies/influencers, for access, pricing & reimbursement - related activities.
Collaborates and aligns with regional/global functions.
Education & Experience
University degree, preferably in natural science: Medical or Pharmacy.
At least 3 years’ experience in the Diagnostics/Pharmaceutical industry or in a relevant position (related research, healthcare management).
Excellent health market and legislation knowledge.
Excellent knowledge of the healthcare system and reimbursement regulations.
Good knowledge of the application of pharmaceutical pricing.
Excellent knowledge of financial terms and concepts, including Health Technology Assessment.
Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
Good knowledge of Google Suite and Microsoft Office

Strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to handle multiple, competing projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines, with outstanding attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including executives.
