Primary Duties

  • Identify packaging and record proper information from work orders
  • Identify marking on edge of doors and be fully familiar with what the marking represents • Using tape measure, thickness gauge, scale, etc, identify gauge, width, length, thickness, lock type, etc to verify parts
  • Label doors and frames and insure that proper labels are attached to doors and frames prior to packaging
  • Communicate to line, set-up person, and/or supervisor any information necessary to maintain a smooth flow of production
  • Review quality of work being marked and notify supervisor of any deviation from acceptable quality
  • Follow standardized methods of work

Skills/Abilities

  • Ability to follow directions
  • Ability to use tools, including but not limited to: tape measure, thickness gauge, and scales
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to communicate well with other

Work Environment

  • Continuous or near continuous exposure to temperature extremes, noise levels >80 db, and moving objects
  • Occasional exposure to humid/arid conditions, vibrations, mechanical hazards, allergens, insect bites, and material handling equipment (forklifts)

Physical Demands

  • Must have the ability to speak and hear clearly
  • Must be able to see well including depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors
  • Requires frequent (4 or more hours per day): standing, walking, balancing, and stooping
  • Occasional sitting, lifting, carrying (25-50 lbs), pushing and pull heavy carts, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and twisting may be required
