MarCom Specialist – Microsoft Garage Hyderabad

Job Description:

The MarCom Specialist for the Microsoft Garage Hyderabad is responsible for communications and marketing activities that support innovation programs, workshops, hackathons, and technical engagements across the Garage community. This role creates and distributes content, manages branding assets, supports event communications, and produces visual/digital materials aligned with Garage and Microsoft guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and distribute communications for events, workshops, and program launches.

  • Create visual content (graphics, banners, posters, digital assets) following Microsoft brand standards.

  • Manage email content, newsletters, Yammer/Teams announcements, and internal storytelling.

  • Partner with Program Managers to understand priorities and promote key initiatives.

  • Support the coordination and documentation of events, including photography and media needs.

  • Maintain communication plans, calendars, and templates.

  • Ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency in all communication materials.

  • Internal Communications: Drive employee engagement through regular newsletters, email announcements, and Microsoft Teams / Viva Engage.

  • Digital Content & Channel Management: Develop and execute a digital communication plan for The Garage – including managing content on the internal SharePoint site and external-facing channels.

  • Content Creation: Create compelling multimedia content (articles, blog posts, infographics, short videos, etc.) for both internal and external use.

  • Creative Direction & Collateral: Coordinate with designers and the creative team to produce marketing collateral and visuals – posters, flyers, slide decks, videos – that support Garage events and announcements.

Qualifications:

  • 3–6 years of experience in communications, marketing, digital content, or design.

  • Experience with design tools (Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma preferred).

  • Strong writing skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate with technical teams.
