The Manufacturing Product Manager is a key manufacturing leadership role responsible for driving product engineering excellence and product lifecycle execution for Cloud products. This role serves as the Product Engineering Lead, partnering closely with Manufacturing, R&D, Process Engineering, Quality, NPI, and Global Engineering teams to ensure product designs are manufacturable, scalable, and meet performance, quality, and cost objectives across the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Product Engineering Leadership
Serve as the Product Engineering Lead for assigned Cloud products, owning product definition, technical performance, and manufacturing execution.
Act as the primary technical interface between Manufacturing and R&D for product-related topics.
Drive product engineering strategy, technical decision-making, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
Manufacturing & Product Industrialization
Drive product industrialization activities from development through high-volume production.
Ensure product readiness for manufacturing, including BOM accuracy, specifications, drawings, and configuration control.
Partner with Process Engineering to ensure robust integration of product design with manufacturing processes.
New Product Introduction (NPI) & Lifecycle Management
Lead product engineering activities for NPI, product transfer, and production ramp-up.
Drive Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Test, and Reliability in collaboration with R&D and Process Engineering.
Ensure structured product qualification, change control, and documentation release.
Yield, Quality & Cost Performance
Own product-related yield, performance, and quality metrics in manufacturing.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for product-related manufacturing and field issues.
Drive cost improvement initiatives through product optimization, design simplification, and change management.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
Act as the product engineering interface between Thailand manufacturing and global product and engineering teams.
Collaborate with Supply Chain, Quality, Planning, and Operations to ensure alignment on product requirements and execution.
Provide clear executive-level communication on product readiness, risks, and trade-offs.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop product engineering teams to build strong technical capability and ownership.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support talent development and succession planning within the product engineering organization.
Safety, Health & Environmental (EHS) Leadership
Demonstrate strong visible leadership and commitment to EHS standards and compliance.
Promote and sustain a Zero Accident Culture across product engineering and manufacturing teams.
Review EHS performance and effectiveness, identifying gaps and driving continuous improvement actions.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, Physics, or related field); Master’s preferred.
8–12+ years of experience in product engineering or manufacturing engineering within high-tech manufacturing environments.
Strong experience acting as Product Engineering Lead supporting NPI, volume ramp, and sustaining engineering.
Solid understanding of product lifecycle management, change control, and manufacturing interfaces.
Experience in optical, photonics, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Experience working in a global / matrix organization.
Fluent English communication required.
