The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Manufacturing Operations Analysts (Level 4) to join the Airplane Development team based out of Everett, WA.
The 777-8F team is looking for subject matter experts (SME) to help support the first build of a new derivative of the 777-9. Ideal candidates should have a deep understanding of their specific areas of expertise and the broader production system. The role involves presenting information to various groups of people, including senior leadership.
In addition to supporting the 777-8F, the team will assist in transitioning from our current traditional planning (IPs) to a new, comprehensive plan that encompasses all aspects of airplane production. Proficiency in manufacturing computer systems is required.
The role demands a high level of self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and proactively to drive results.
Position Responsibilities:
Assesses airplane design and planning, and provides feedback to engineering
Helps assess production issues, and participates in their resolution
Analyzes and interprets data
Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes
Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
Works under general direction
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
Assesses airplane design and provides feedback to engineering
Drives prioritized KPI’s such as Go4Zero, First Pass Quality, FOD Free
Public Speaking
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite Everett, WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
5+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Hands-on mechanical experience with commercial airplanes
Experience in 777 manufacturing and/or support
Proficient at IVT
Trained in the BPSM
Experience facilitating group activities
Experience managing/leading PROTRAC projects
Experience researching issues using OpHATS
Experience using the SAT system
Proficient at Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
Excellent communication skills across multiple roles and levels w/ the ability to speak to large groups and/or leadership
Ability to work in ambiguity and proactively find structure
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Shift:
Successful candidates will primarily work 1st shift but should be flexible to occasionally work outside of normal hours to support manufacturing needs.
