The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First-Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to support the 777 and 777X Final Assembly team in Everett, Washington.
This First Line Leader will be responsible for managing teams consisting of Manufacturing Subject Matter Experts in the support of the 777-8F Development Program. This Manager will work to drive strategic planning for the manufacturing requirements of the 777-8F in partnership with Engineering (Design, Manufacturing, Tooling, & Industrial), Supply Chain Value Stream Integration Organization, Boeing Production System Leaders, Tool Services / Maintenance, and Site Services as it pertains to the factory build plan and processes.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience in a role requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills
5+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
10+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience leading a cross-functional team in Product Development
5+ years of experience advising and influencing managers and non-managers to meet schedule or resolve technical or operation problems (PRR, Code 1 introductions, Out of sequence work)
5+ years of experience reporting status to senior and executive leadership
5+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
5+ years of experience with lean processes (AIW, VSM, BPSM, etc)
5+ years of experience directing and mentoring teams to deliver on safety, quality, and cost goals
