Position summary:
Power Systems is the Rolls-Royce business which provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under our product and solution brand mtu. Through digitalisation and electrification, we strive to develop drive and power generation solutions that provide answers to the challenges posed by the rapidly growing societal demands for energy and mobility.
We deliver and service comprehensive, powerful and reliable systems, based on both gas and diesel engines, as well as electrified hybrid systems. These technologically advanced solutions serve our customers in the marine and infrastructure sectors worldwide.
What you’ll be doing:
Performing work measurements to support operations and improve staff health, safety, and performance
Observing employees operating equipment or performing tasks to determine time requirements and fatigue rates and recommending improvements
Creating and updating standard work instructions
Assisting in planning and implementing safety, quality and productivity initiatives in support of continuous improvement
Evaluating manpower and capacity needs and presenting recommendations to management
Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering department with administrative tasks, including adding items to the MRO crib and creating purchase requisitions
Designing and procuring basic tooling as needed
Creating drawings in Creo or AutoCAD, if capable
Keeping management informed of workload status, issues, and upcoming assignments
Following company work hours, policies, procedures and professional conduct guidelines
Adhering to company and professional ethics related to confidential information
Maintaining professional relationships with internal and external employees, clients and customers
Representing the company professionally in all interactions
Who we’re looking for:
Good oral and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others
Good organizational, planning and follow-up skills
Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
Preferred:
SAP experience
German speaking skills

Relevant majors:
Attending an accredited college/university and will be continuing your education after the internship. You must be working towards a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
Minimum GPA: 3.0
