Why This Role Exists

Our mission is simple: deliver precision-built products that perform without failure in high-stakes environments. As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will directly support the systems, processes, and people who make that possible.

This isn’t a shadow-and-observe internship. You will contribute to real process improvements, real production challenges, and real operational outcomes.

Job Description

What You’ll Do (Impact-Focused)

You will partner with manufacturing engineers, operators, quality, and supply chain to:

  • Improve production efficiency through data-driven process analysis

  • Support root cause investigations and implement corrective actions

  • Assist in developing and refining work instructions and process documentation

  • Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives (5S, waste reduction, flow improvements)

  • Analyze cycle times, tooling effectiveness, and production bottlenecks

  • Support fixture/tooling design improvements

  • Contribute to cost-reduction and yield-improvement initiatives

  • Help implement mistake-proofing and quality controls

You will leave this internship having made measurable improvements.

What Success Looks Like

  • Contributed to a documented process improvement project

  • Demonstrated ownership of a scoped engineering initiative

  • Built trust with operators and cross-functional partners

  • Presented findings and recommendations to engineering leadership

Who Thrives Here

We’re looking for interns who are:

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related Engineering field

  • Analytical and comfortable working with data

  • Hands-on and curious about how things are built

  • Comfortable on a production floor (not just behind a desk)

  • Strong communicators who can translate engineering to operators

  • Self-directed and energized by solving real problems

Bonus if you have exposure to:

  • CAD software

  • Lean / Six Sigma concepts

  • ERP/MRP systems

  • Technical drawings & GD&T

The Environment

You will work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting where precision and accountability matter. We operate with high standards, clear expectations, and a team-first mindset.
