Managing Director, Securitization & Structured Products will lead the firm’s securitization and structured finance platform across consumer, commercial, and specialty asset classes. This individual will be responsible for setting strategy, originating and executing transactions, coordinating with corporate banking and treasury partners, managing client relationships, and building a scalable, multi‑asset securitization franchise across ABS, CMBS, and other structured products.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute the group’s origination and ABS product strategy, including expansion into new asset classes, structures, and investor segments
- Partner with senior leadership to align the securitization platform with broader capital markets, corporate banking, and balance‑sheet strategies, particularly Texas Capital’s mortgage finance business and RMBS and CMBS securitization markets
- Drive consistent underwriting standards, risk discipline, and execution excellence across the platform
- Lead origination and execution of securitization and structured finance transactions across a broad range of asset classes, including:
- Consumer finance (installment loans, personal loans, student loans, credit card receivables)
- Auto finance (prime, near‑prime, subprime auto loans and leases)
- Commercial lender finance (warehouse lines, forward‑flow arrangements, lender finance securitizations)
- Commercial and specialty assets (equipment finance, transportation, energy, small and medium business, and esoteric asset classes)
- Execute transactions across primary and secondary ABS markets, including public securitizations, private placements, and trading
- Ability to develop strong partnerships with relationship managers and market leaders to identify new prospect and client opportunities, liaise with internal stakeholders across sales & trading, credit, legal, risk, operations and treasury to drive seamless execution
- Build, lead, and mentor a high‑performing team of senior and junior bankers across origination and execution.
Qualifications:
- Senior Investment Banker with 15+ years of experience with a strong understanding and ability to analyze, structure and issue ABS collateralized by unsecured consumer, equipment finance, C&I receivables and other financial assets.
- Demonstrated experience building, leading, and scaling a platform or product group, including oversight of origination, execution, and distribution
- Experience with credit underwriting, static pool analysis and ratings agency methodologies
- Deep understanding of securitization structures, investor requirements, warehouse facilities, and secondary market dynamics
- Strong negotiating skills, and an ability to exercise judgment in meeting risk and regulatory requirements for clients, investors and Texas Capital
- Solid understanding of financial modeling and ability to run appropriate sensitivities in client-provided models
- Proven ability to evaluate, diligence, value, structure, and distribute new‑issue securities across multiple asset types
- Availability to work extended hours and travel as needed
