  • Independently assess the quality and effectiveness of the end‑to‑end credit process, including underwriting, portfolio management, loan structuring, risk rating accuracy, credit decisioning and approvals, documentation quality, collateral administration, monitoring practices, covenant management, early problem‑loan identification, workout strategies, and any other activities that influence credit quality and risk governance.

  • Monitor portfolio performance to identify trends, emerging risks, and areas of concern. Identify and evaluate portfolio trends, including delinquency, bankruptcy, collateral sufficiency, and industry concentrations.

  • Execute a robust, risk‑based loan review program, including sample‑based testing for policy and compliance.

  • Validate the accuracy and consistency of the bank's risk grading practices in alignment with established policies and regulatory guidelines.

  • Oversee the quality, completeness, and accuracy of supporting loan review documentation and analysis.
