[What the role is]
You could be an individual contributor or may lead a unit under the Strategy or Planning team to support the development of organisation-wide strategies, as well as ensure alignment and coordination within WSG and with MOM. This includes the following:[What you will be working on]
Support the development, coordination and review of whole-of-WSG strategies to develop the Career and Employment Services Ecosystem
Refine WSG’s multi-year strategy, WSG 2030, and coordinate WSG’s overall efforts as a sector lead in the career and employment services sector to build the career health of individuals and employers
Work with WSG’s divisions on translating the strategy into action plans
Comfortable working with data to uncover insights to inform strategies and identify opportunities for data-driven interventions
Navigate policy considerations around data protection, privacy safeguards and proportionality of data sharing
Develop and pilot new programmes and initiatives with industry partners to enable WSG to effectively lead the Career and Employment Services ecosystem
Conceptualise new programmes and initiatives involving internal stakeholders and industry partners
Seek funding and resourcing to implement programmes and initiatives
Engage and appoint industry partners to develop and implement programmes and initiatives
Manage funding arrangements and disbursements
Evaluate outcomes of programmes and initiatives
Support WSG’s overall planning and strategy work, which includes corporate KPI reporting, management of the WSG Board, managing international relations, supporting Budget/COS materials and speeches, PQs and management reports

Excellent writing and communication skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and able to understand issues beyond the surface
Good project management and problem-solving skills
Have a good theoretical understanding and application of principles and concepts in labour economics
Skills to derive data-driven insights and understanding of quantitative data
Have a good understanding of public governance and its principles
Familiarity with data governance and principles is preferred

Perceptive and able to problem-solve and work independently
