[What the role is]
As part of the SFA’s Authorisation Management Department under the Authorisations Division, you will be responsible to drive systems and process improvements for SFA's food safety operations through strategic analysis of policy, operational and data requirements, project management, and stakeholder coordination. This role serves as a critical bridge between business users and technical solutions, ensuring that business and operational requirements are effectively translated into technology-driven solutions whilst facilitating cross-departmental coordination and regulatory compliance activities.
[What you will be working on]
- Oversee the management of existing food safety-related ICT systems and lead development and implementation of new ICT systems to meet business user requirements and operational needs.
- Work closely with business users to define system requirements and coordinate the enhancement of existing ICT systems and developing new systems.
- Analyse and improve business processes, products and services by analysing data, gathering requirements, and recommending technology-driven solutions.
- Ensuring SFA’s policies and regulations are aligned to business and operational requirements and factored into system functionalities
- Explore and pilot operations-technology integration projects, identify opportunities where technology can enhance business processes and improve efficiency, and drive measurable outcomes.
- Handle industry and public queries and feedback
- Facilitate communication and coordination between different organisational units, ensuring alignment of objectives and efficient workflow management.
[What we are looking for]
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- Computer literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access & Outlook)
- Good writing skills
- Highly self-motivated and committed.
- Ability to handle and meet tight deadlines
- Meticulous and analytical with problem-solving capabilities
- Mature, independent and resourceful
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Good team player
- Experience in process improvement and system integration will be an advantage
