Position Overview

The Manager, Warehouse & Material Control is responsible for end-to-end processes starting at receipt of raw materials through the release of post-sterile finished goods. This role is a key member of the leadership team that will find world class, automated solutions to drive efficiencies and cost reductions in our warehouse and material control room. This role will also support the coordination and planning of Pod manufacturing, PDM and Kitting operations, SMA Wire operations, new product introductions, and engineering builds. This role will partner with global supply chain, procurement, facilities, and operations to ensure cross functional business objectives are being met.

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for ensuring USAM has enough raw materials to support demand plan requirements

  • Oversee our inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control measures

  • Evaluate new inventory, ensuring necessary material is approved by IQA timely

  • Coordinate and plan changeovers that optimize the manufacturing process

  • Support change management by reviewing business process changes and ensuring that changes won’t introduce operational strains.

  • Work with global supply chain to understand sterilizer capacity as well as logistics planning for day to day shipping of finished goods

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to other members of the materials control and warehouse team as well as other functions requiring assistance.

  • This role is a leader in Integrated Business Planning driving closure to key planning, capacity, and supply challenges.

  • Develop and deliver consistent, effective KPI and scorecards to highlight issues and drive action.

  • Develop and support process improvements that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and the development of our people.

Preferred Skills Competencies:

  • Strong analytical, statistical, and critical thinking skills

  • Familiarity working with ERP systems. SAP and Arena are preferred.

  • Strong project management and leadership skills. Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification would be a plus.

  • Ability to effectively influence others to drive improvement

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Excellent professional communications skills to build and maintain relationships

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and AI tools

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s in Business, Supply Chain or related field and 5+ years in a warehouse or operations environment leading teams

  • 5+ years working collaboratively with procurement, facilities, and supply chain

  • Detailed knowledge of production planning, demand and supply planning, and S&OP concepts and policies

  • Comfortable building reports and giving presentations to senior leaders

  • Familiar and comfortable operating powered industrial trucks

  • Experience managing and working with vendors to ensure delivery at the best cost

 

Additional Information

  • The position is in-person at our campus in Acton, MA.

  • Must be willing to travel between both sites – 100 Nagog Park and 50 Nagog Park in Acton

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $102,200.00 - $153,350.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
