The Role: UK/EU Transportation Manager
 
We’re looking for a Transportation Manager to oversee end-to-end Transportation supporting our UK and EU warehouses (freight in and freight out).  This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that works closely with our freight partners, logistics provider (warehouse 3PL), supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods in and out of the warehouses. 
 
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and enjoys driving continuous improvement across logistics and operations.
 
Business travel is expected monthly/quarterly to our Warehouse/Partner locations in the UK and Europe.  1-2 business trips/year to the US is also expected.
 
Key Responsibilities
Logistics & Freight Management
·        Maintain receiving schedules for inbound deliveries and liaise with warehouse teams
·        Partner with Customs Brokers and internal Compliance partners to ensure goods are moving across borders without issues
·        Plan outbound shipments with Order Management and 3PL Warehouse partners
·        Investigate root causes of any on-time delivery failures and implement solutions

 
Operational Strategy & Process Improvement
·        Support and implement operational initiatives to drive efficiency and enable growth
·        Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved workflows, and system automation
·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Supply Chain, Warehouse, Commercial) to support new market expansions
Reporting & Analytics
·        Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and performance gaps
·        Prepare reports and present transportation insights to senior leadership
·        Review freight partner invoices for accuracy/completeness while identifying opportunities for cost savings. 
·        Hold freight partners accountable for reporting their monthly freight data which supports e.l.f.’s greenhouse gas emission tracking.  Identify opportunities for sustainability improvements.
Customer & Quality Focus
·        Ensure high service levels and timely shipments to meet customer expectations
·        Address and resolve transportation issues affecting customer satisfaction
·        Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and SOPs
Project Management
·        Lead or support cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational performance and enabling growth into new markets
·        Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables to successful completion
 
Requirements
·        Proven experience in transportation operations, logistics, and/or supply chain (ideally within FMCG, beauty, or retail)
·        Strong knowledge of working with international freight partners & 3PLs
·        Proficiency in Excel (for scheduling, reporting, and data analysis)
·        Experience with ERP systems (SAP or NetSuite preferred)
·        Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
·        Strong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindset
·        Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
·        Experience working in or with larger organisations is preferred
