Organization Overview:

You will be an integral part of a global team responsible for developing and supporting key applications and processes that are part of the Lilly Clinical Trial process.  You will lead the delivery and execution of projects that will meet current and future needs of our business partners.  This will include developing and maintaining critical business relationships and being a key contributor towards developing long-range strategic plans.  You will be a visible and respected team member in the Tech@Lilly function with the ability to drive and influence software providers and our Lilly colleagues in the business areas we support.  The goal is to keep Lilly in the forefront of cutting-edge solutions with first-in-industry and best-in-industry aggregation solutions to help deliver our portfolio with speed, consistency, and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Owners and business stakeholders across Clinical Results to develop strategy and roadmap to meet their needs.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and solution designs. Partner with peer organizations such as Quality, Cybersecurity to ensure compliance requirements are captured and translated appropriately.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of software implementations and system upgrades, including planning, architecture alignment, execution, and release, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned to quality and compliance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, validation, and cybersecurity requirements, including ownership of validation strategy, documentation, and audit readiness.
  • Proactively manage delivery risks, dependencies, and issues, providing clear communication and mitigation strategies across stakeholders.
  • Learn and maintain a strong knowledge of business processes to understand opportunities for improvement in the current technology tools and provide insights on improving current and future solutions.
  • Triage project proposals and technology changes by leading impact assessments, ROI assessment and technical feasibility.
  • Understand, anticipate, and communicate how technical limitations and decisions may impact business needs and project timelines and be able to guide the cross-functional team accordingly.
  • Investigate opportunities to take full advantage of Artificial Intelligence and Automation and propose ways to implement both into the solution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology or clinical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a technical field
  • 3+ years experience with API design/development, AWS, .JSON, Power BI, and/or Azure
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (i.e., GCP).

Additional Preferences:

  • Understanding of, and appreciation for, IT Quality Processes, Cyber Security, and Patient Privacy.
  • Experience with Clinical Data Flow Systems and Processes.
  • Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end technology delivery
  • Proven experience with leading small to mid-sized teams.
  • The ability to manage multiple, and disparate activities simultaneously.
  • Ability to influence broadly across organizations and work effectively across levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to self-manage and comfort with making decisions with potential of long-term impact.
  • Highly flexible, able to adapt to changes in priorities, requirements and processes.
  • Ability to be flexible in working hours to work with a global team and accommodate global business needs.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$64,500 - $151,800

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
