Shell Australia is planning ERP transformation – S4HANA implementation from 1 January 2026. MDT Australia is required to provide strong tax compliance and reporting support for this transformation.

Purpose of the role?

The Senior Tax Specialist – S4HANA Australia will provide critical tax input for S4HANA deployment—support planning, data and tool design, risk mitigation, and implementation. Expertise in Australian corporate tax, IFRS, tax accounting, and automation is essential.

Accountabilities:

1. HSSE - Ensure sound HSSE practice in day-to-day work

2. Project Support – You are responsible for:

• Support in maintaining overall Project plan and managing dependencies

• Providing tax technical, data and tool insights at design stage

• Support risk mitigation and resolve tax issues during implementation.

•  Ensure source data meets tax tool requirements.

• Contribute to User Access Testing from a tax perspective

Skills and Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of corporate tax experience working with professional firms or multinational firms or KPO,

• Strong corporate Australian tax, IFRS and tax accounting knowledge and ERP systems

• Proficient in MS Office; project management skills.

• Ability to learn IT architecture and drive automation.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
