The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) is a dedicated team committed to delivering comprehensive support across the entire student life cycle from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond the classroom. SASD works collaboratively with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching academic journey for all students.
The Student Management Systems (SMS) team manages the IT platforms that enable this journey, supporting areas such as enrolment, academic core services, co-curricular activities, global mobility programmes, internships, and alumni engagement. The team is leading the rollout of NTU’s Next-Generation Student Management System, a modernised platform designed to enhance the student experience and respond to evolving academic and administrative needs. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director, SMS, this role will drive the operationalisation, adoption, and continuous improvement of the system, enabling new capabilities that transform how students engage with the university.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage stakeholders to gather and validate business requirements for systems and technology solutions.
Collaborate with the business stakeholders, IT and Project Management Office (PMO) in sourcing and evaluating solutions, and support system implementation to ensure outcomes are fit for purpose and aligned with university needs.
Manage cross-workstream system modules and digital platforms that interface with the SMS.
Provide governance and oversight for the effective use of student systems, ensuring standards and compliance with university policies.
Support the sustainability of the SMS by managing user requests, assessing change impacts, and ensuring smooth adoption of new or modified functionalities.
Participate in testing and validation of new system features and enhancements to maintain system integrity and readiness for business use.
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to promote consistency, accountability, and process governance across student administration functions.
Administer user access and oversee troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and security of student systems.
Contribute to audit preparedness and compliance by supporting audit reviews and strengthening documentation frameworks.
Provide post go-live support to ensure stability, issue resolution, and business continuity.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field from a recognised university.
Minimum of 8 years of working experience in IT Business Analyst/Project Manager roles.
Knowledge of student management systems or student administration processes would be an advantage.
Demonstrated competencies in system and process documentation.
Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels.
Strong business acumen with excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
Self-driven, highly motivated, and able to work well both individually and in a team under pressure.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and BI tools such as Tableau, QlikSense, or Power BI would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Nintex or similar process flow mapping tools would be advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Power Query, and PowerPoint.
