Role Summary:
As a Manager, Software Engineering (Quality), you will lead a team of 10+ full-stack quality engineers, driving excellence in manual testing, automation, performance, AI and cloud-based testing. You will be responsible for test strategy, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring delivery of high-quality software in a fast-paced Agile/SAFe environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of 10+ full-stack quality engineers across manual, automation, and performance testing domains.
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for web, API, database, and cloud-based applications.
• Drive quality initiatives including chaos engineering, AI-based testing, and cloud reliability validation.
• Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to meet evolving quality demands and independently implement them to support a shift-left testing culture.
• Advocate for quality and testing needs during new project onboardings, ensuring early engagement and alignment with development teams.
• Support end-to-end test planning and strategy implementation, ensuring coverage across functional, non-functional, and integration layers.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business stakeholders to align on quality goals and delivery timelines.
• Oversee test planning, execution, defect management, and reporting using tools like JIRA, TestRail, etc.
• Ensure robust CI/CD integration using Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Maven, and other DevOps tools.
• Promote best practices in Agile/SAFe ceremonies and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Maintain hands-on involvement in critical testing activities including exploratory testing, test automation framework design, automation scripting, and performance benchmarking using Java or python-based technology stack.
• Demonstrate strong people management skills, fostering team growth, engagement, and accountability.

Required Skills & Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in software quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing 10+ engineers.
• Strong hands-on experience in manual testing, test strategy, automation (Java/Python, Selenium, Cucumber), and performance testing.
• Proven experience in REST API testing, SQL query validation, and cloud-based application testing.
• Exposure to chaos engineering principles and AI/ML-based testing approaches.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools and Agile/SAFe methodologies.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager certification or equivalent preferred.
• Management degree from a reputed institution is a plus.
