Manager / Senior Assistant Manager, Business Development and Marketing

We invite suitable candidates to apply for the Manager / Senior Assistant Manager, Business Development and Marketing position with our Postgraduate Office to provide business development support to the Program Directors on all Postgraduate Programs. This incumbent will also support as and when in all postgraduate matters such as admissions, exams etc.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Industry Engagement & Partnership Development

  • Identify and develop strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, employers, and trade associations.

  • Initiate and manage collaboration agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, and joint training projects.

  • Conduct needs assessments and translates business requirements into training solutions.

Programme Development & Innovation

  • Collaborate with faculty staff and subject matter experts to co-develop Continuing Education and Training (CET) and Graduate Programmes.

  • Ensure alignment of courses with national skills frameworks (e.g., SkillsFuture).

  • Contribute to the design of modular, stackable, and flexible learning formats suitable for adult learners.

Corporate Training & Custom Solutions

  • Develop customised training proposals based on corporate client needs.

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, from scoping to post-training evaluation.

  • Maintain strong client relationships and seek opportunities for repeat business.

Learner Engagement, Recruitment & Outreach

  • Provide strategic direction for outreach campaigns targeting working professionals and corporate clients, in collaboration with Associate Deans and senior management.

  • Represent the institution at industry forums, seminars, and education fairs to enhance visibility and stakeholder engagement.

  • Use market intelligence and learner analytics to inform go-to-market strategies and improve learner acquisition and retention.

Funding & Proposal Management

  • Prepare grant proposals and documentation for funding bodies (e.g., SkillsFuture Singapore).

  • Work with NTU Academy for Professional and Continuing Education (NTU PACE) to ensure compliance with funding requirements and KPIs.

  • Monitor budget and contract terms for corporate and funded programmes.

Stakeholder Management & Internal Coordination

  • Coordinate with academic, operations, finance, and marketing teams to support programme delivery.

  • Ensure timely communication and alignment across departments and with clients.

Performance Management & Strategic Reporting

  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to programme enrolment, learner satisfaction, corporate impact, and revenue targets.

  • Provide regular strategic updates and insights to senior management and external stakeholders to inform decision-making.

  • Leverage data analytics to drive continuous improvement, programme innovation, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.

  • Postgraduate qualification or CET-related certifications (e.g., ACTA/ACL) are a plus.

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in business development, corporate training, or adult education, with at least 3 years in managerial position.

  • Proven track record in managing stakeholder relationships and project delivery.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Familiarity with Singapore’s CET landscape, SkillsFuture initiatives, and industry trends.

  • Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

  • Strategic thinking with an eye for innovation and market relevance.

  • Prior experience in managing a team is essential.

  • Able to travel overseas and work on weekends for education fairs/events/outreach on a regular basis.
