Responsibilities
Manages staff. Provides guidance, training and motivation as necessary to develop staff. Hires, evaluates and counsels personnel. Follows corporate disciplinary procedures per established Vanguard standards as required. Sets performance standards, reviews performance, provides feedback, and recommends wage increases in accordance with all applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
Leads a team of sales trainers and develops their sales and training expertise.
Partners with senior leadership to execute the division's sales strategy and drive performance within the sales organization. Drives leader accountability and enablement to support sales training and coaching.
Develop, manage and communicate annual, quarterly and monthly training delivery roadmap and calendar aligned to hiring forecasts and business priorities
Oversee Training delivery across 100/200/300-level sales curriculum, sales methodology, new leader programming, and ongoing progressive development
Manage training team: assign trainers, monitor performance, observe facilitation provide feedback, and set performance plans
Partner with Curriculum & Learning Strategy function to ensure training content is up-to-date, usable, and compliant before delivery
Partner with Sales Coaching function to ensure reinforcement and floor-readiness alignment
Govern training logistics such as enrollment, scheduling, trainer capacity, Learning Management Systems coordination
Track and report training metrics: attendance, readiness scores, learning assessments, certification pass rates, trainer utilization, learner satisfaction
Ensure reinforcement activities are built into training programs, such as role-plays, assessment and simulations
Escalate risks in class size, trainer availability, readiness metrics, or dependencies to Head of Sales Enablement and key partners
Own stakeholder management and dependencies for training and delivery program
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Skills
Deep expertise in training delivery and facilitation best practices
Proven leadership of facilitators with ability to coach and evaluate performance
Strong project management, scheduling, and capacity planning skills
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and training platforms
Data driven management of readiness metrics and certification results
Strong communicator with ability to align training dependencies across HS, Workforce Strategy, Sales Coaching, Sales Curriculum, Sales Leadership
Qualifications
Minimum of five years related work experience. Previous people leadership experience required.
Prior experience in a sales organization and sales training preferred. Must be experienced in developing and executing sales training delivery strategies.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
NOTE:
This role will be a hybrid role working 2 days per week from home and 3 days per week in our Malvern, PA office location.
