Manager, Sales

Remote - Ontario, Canada Full Time

As a Small Business Sales Manager, you will be responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and leading a team of new and established Growth Specialist (Account Executives) in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment. This role is only available to candidates that reside in Toronto or Quebec.  We welcome remote candidates but also offer the option to work out of our downtown Toronto office.

 

You are a leader, mentor, and team player with the ability to inspire your team to close deals at high velocity in a growing market. You are a self-starter with the drive to help your team quickly build a strong pipeline of new business and guide them toward deal closure. You possess strong business value presentation skills, are comfortable presenting at all organizational levels, and can coach your team to do the same.

  • Exercises excellent judgment, especially when tasked with difficult decisions, and always displays integrity in decision-making.
  • Is accountable—engaging in honest, transparent, and authentic communications with colleagues, regardless of personal outcomes.
  • Is a team builder and coach—motivating not just individuals but the entire team towards a shared vision and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Ideally has experience or demonstrates the ability to build a team in the Canadian market and to pioneer upmarket sales success in Canada.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience leading and coaching a quota-carrying team
  • 3+ years of software sales experience
  • Experience selling and/or managing in the Canadian tech market preferred
  • Experience building a new team, preferably in a new market
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead others effectively
  • Experience leading a consultative sales process
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage and forecast sales opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and patterns
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, including proficiency in PowerPoint
  • Proven track record of sales excellence
  • Comfortable driving results in ambiguous situations
  • Superior professional presence, business acumen, and confidence when presenting to executives
