RBC Royal Trust Risk and Regulatory Initiatives team is a national office team of highly skilled risk professionals specialized in estate and trust business. We oversee and implement regulatory initiatives, supports operational risk matters and internal controls, as well as maintain business policies.

What will you do?

You will support the first line of defense oversight of assigned regulatory and risk related matters such as policy management and regulatory change.

Your responsibilities will include:

Policy Management Process

  • Manage timely policy updates, in consultation with the relevant business group, as a result of changes to organizational structure, regulatory and legal requirements, business practices, system changes, and risk monitoring activities
  • Draft communication and training material to staff regarding changes to policies and related documentation as required

Regulatory Initiatives Cooperation

  • Work in conjunction with various stakeholders to ensure regulatory change of impact to RBC Royal Trust is identified and communicated in a timely manner
  • Project manage regulatory change impact analysis and implementation as assigned

Complaint Handling Process Monitoring

•        Conduct  complaint log oversight review, and prepare periodic reporting

What do you need to succeed?

Must have’s

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent
  • Experience with regulatory projects ideally within estate & trust industry
  • Excellent written/verbal/electronic communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others and perceived as a professional business partner
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Exhibits sound judgement and decision-making abilities
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexible in approaching all duties and assignments and shares best practices

Nice-to-have’s

  • Fluently bilingual in French

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$67,000.00 - $110,000.00

The pay range provided is for the primary work location referenced in the Additional Job Details section of this job posting. Pay ranges may differ based on location.
