Full-time, permanent position based at our Dutton Park Precinct
Base salary will be in the range $115,645.22 - $129,654.48 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 8)
We are seeking an experienced Research Manager to lead and support research administration across the precinct, with a portfolio including the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science, the Frazer Institute, the Child Health Research Centre, and the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences.
You will provide leadership and coordination across precinct-based research and researcher development activities, building capability and contributing to a collaborative and high-performing research culture within the Faculty.
This is a dynamic role for a professional who thrives on complexity and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead high-quality research administration services across the precinct, providing expert advice on funding, compliance, reporting, and internal processes.
Manage and develop a high-performing research administration team, fostering strong partnerships across the Faculty and the Central Research Office.
Develop initiatives to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of research funding applications, including internal review mechanisms.
Provide informed reporting and strategic advice by maintaining a strong understanding of research strategies, performance, and emerging opportunities.
Coordinate researcher development initiatives in collaboration with the Associate Dean (Research) and other key stakeholders to enhance the research environment.
Postgraduate degree of relevant experience or equivalent combination of experience and education/training.
Proven record of navigating stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes in a dynamic and competitive research funding environment.
Demonstrated skills to operate in an environment that requires problem solving, decision making and prioritisation.
Proven ability to manage a team to achieve outcomes in a complex research environment.
In depth knowledge of university processes, administrative systems, and research management within the tertiary sector.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check and if applicable, education check.
